ARTIST SPOTLIGHT *
From linoleum blocks and comic book pages, Emmy has always wanted to tell a story. Emmy Reynolds, an Arkansas-based artist, grew up reading stories and looking at art pieces that didn’t really reflect her personal experience. Ever since she was able to draw, she wanted to tell stories she never saw reflected. As a lesbian, she uses her unique point of view growing up in the south to tell stories of her spirituality, romance, sensuality, and struggle. No matter which form of art, be it printmaking, digital or pen drawn, Emmy infuses it with her own personal experiences, wanting to tell the stories she wished she’d heard in her youth.
